Primary Care with Urgent Care and Hospitalist duties - Day shift - Northwest, AZ

Arc Health, in partnership with NativeArc, is seeking a board-certified Family or Internal Medicine physician to serve a Tribal community in Northern Arizona. This is a meaningful opportunity to deliver care in both inpatient and urgent care settings within a Medicare-certified Critical Access Hospital.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care in the hospitalist unit

  • Capacity: 4 inpatients

  • Average census: ~2 patients/day

• Staff the urgent care clinic

  • Average volume: ~15–20 patients/day (volume and acuity dependent)

• See patients in the same-day access clinic

  • ~8–10 appointments per half-day, depending on show rate and schedule

• Serve as backup support for:

  • RN care coordinators

  • Public Health Nurses managing unassigned patients

• Engage in patient education, diagnosis, treatment planning, and continuity of care

• Document clinical activity using the RPMS electronic health record (EHR)

Position Requirements

• Board Certified in Family Practice or Internal Medicine

• Recent experience in both inpatient and outpatient care

• Active, unrestricted license and DEA from any U.S. state or territory

• Certifications required:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• No gap in clinical practice greater than 6 months prior to start date

• Up-to-date immunizations and screenings:

  • PPD or Chest X-ray (for TB)

  • MMR, varicella, Hepatitis B, influenza, and COVID vaccinations (within the last year)

• Commitment to rural, underserved, and Tribal health

• Compassionate and culturally humble approach to care

Schedule & Compensation

• Shifts: 10-hour days, Wednesday–Tuesday rotation

• Providers encouraged to work 1–2 weeks per month

• Rate: $160–$175/hour DOE
