HVAC Technician (Entry-Level w/ Experience) – Arc Electric

Pay: $23.00–$50.00 per hour DOE Benefits
Job Summary
Arc Electric is seeking a motivated and dependable HVAC Technician with hands-on experience to join our growing team serving the Grays Harbor area. In this role, you will help ensure the comfort, safety, and efficiency of residential and commercial systems through installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC equipment.
This position is ideal for someone early in their HVAC career who has real-world experience and is ready to continue developing their skills. You’ll work on a variety of systems and projects including service work, new construction, remodels, solar, and mechanical system upgrades.
We are a busy contractor handling electrical, HVAC, generators, solar, and low voltage systems—offering steady work, diverse projects, and long-term growth with a locally owned, team-focused company.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heat pumps, furnaces, ventilation systems, and basic refrigeration equipment
- Assist with boilers and advanced refrigeration systems when applicable
- Perform routine service and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and system layouts
- Use diagnostic tools (meters, gauges, etc.) to identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation
- Assist with basic plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems when needed
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites
- Operate a company vehicle safely for service calls and project work
- Communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Support lead technicians and assist with installs and service calls
Required Qualifications
- 6 months to 2 years of HVAC experience (school field counts)
- EPA Certification (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
- Valid driver’s license
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, tools, and troubleshooting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, organized, and professional
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience
- Residential and/or commercial HVAC experience
- Heat pumps and ductless mini-split systems
- Refrigeration systems (including ammonia a plus)
- Basic electrical troubleshooting
- Plumbing knowledge related to HVAC
- Customer service experience
- HVAC trade school completion
