- Positive student instruction and interaction. Classroom instruction including the administering of associated quizzes, homework and hotel-lab demonstrations.
- Teach and demonstrate general hospitality skills and techniques including but not limited to tasks associated with the following areas: Front Desk Representative, Guest Services, Guestroom Attendant, Breakfast Attendant, Restaurant Server, Maintenance.
- Collaborate with and provide guidance to the Hospitality Instructional Associate.
- Evaluate and track student progress and accountability on a daily basis.
- Participate in ongoing growth and development of pedagogics and curriculum within the hospitality program.
- Make accurate, detailed weekly reports to the Manager regarding all facets of program operation, student accountability, progress reports, etc.
- Provide respectful, positive feedback to students to assist in their professional advancement and overall career readiness.
- Creates teachable moments for students and participates in all Arc Educates events, Hospitality Graduations, Outreach, Media and other student-driven functions as needed. Periodically updates and maintains the physical classroom, online library, and curricula in collaboration with the curriculum specialist and departmental policy.
- Develops and maintains overall program satisfaction by cultivating and maintaining relationships with students, potential employers, professional associations, customers and agency co-workers alike.
- Maintains a safe, secure, legal and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing proper service standards and procedures. Consistently monitors program conformance with agency inspections, enforces health and safety requirements and procedures.
- Highly self-motivated while taking the personal initiative to improve job knowledge by remaining abreast of best practices within the hospitality industry. Participates in professional development opportunities on a scheduled basis. Also participates timely in all required training provided and/or coordinated by Arc Educates.
- Consistently tracks and remains current with emerging hospitality trends. Initiates and maintains professional networks with industry leaders nationally and locally through community outreach, business associations, social media and the like.
- Transports students in company van to other Arc Broward office locations, field trips, and other off-site locations.

- High school diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- Expert hospitality classroom and lab teaching experience of at least one year or more in an educational setting, college, vocational/ technical school or other not for profit agency with a preferred minimum of 1 to 3 years’ experience; preferably in non-profit.
- Ability to integrate current hospitality trends into all classes.
- Ability to communicate respectfully, clearly and effectively with students, colleagues, and hospitality and culinary industry professionals.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates proficiency and effectiveness in verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, time management and ability to handle high volume multiple projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid FL driver’s license and successful level II background check, physical and drug screen.
- Must be 21 years older or older.
