Automation Robotics and Controls (ARC) is seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in a technical environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of integration projects—from kickoff through installation and commissioning. The Project Manager will work closely with upper management to provide clear, consistent updates on timelines, progress, technical challenges, and project forecasts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in continuous improvement, uphold ARC’s quality standards, and ensure all automation solutions are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project execution from concept to completion in alignment with ARC’s Project Procedure.
- Maintain and update AppSheets entries related to scheduling, timelines, and project management.
- Assign and delegate new tasks effectively to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide regular updates on project health, including timelines, technical risks, customer expectations, challenges, and budget forecasts.
- Travel to customer sites as required for project reviews, design discussions, installations, and commissioning support.
- Attend installations to verify build accuracy, integration quality, safety compliance, and proper function of systems.
- Lead post-project debriefs and review project P&L reports to identify strengths, gaps, and areas for improvement.
- Provide feedback to engineering and management teams to support continuous improvement, process refinement, and standardization.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Project Management, or a related discipline (Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Automation), or 3 years of project management experience in a technical setting.
- Mechanical and electrical experience strongly preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal—with the ability to interact effectively with customers, vendors, and technical teams.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and keep project actions aligned with company goals.
- Ability to participate in hands-on tasks as needed, including equipment assembly, testing, and system commissioning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for preparing reports, project logs, and documentation.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Gantt charts, project scheduling, timelines, and forecasting tools is strongly preferred.
