📍 Multiple School Sites in San Diego, CA | Full-Time, Non-Exempt
💲 $33.65–$38.34/hour
🕒 Monday–Friday | 10:00 AM–6:30 PM (schedule may adjust based on program needs)

We are seeking an Inclusion Support Specialist to help ensure students with diverse learning, behavioral, and social-emotional needs can fully participate in our before- and after-school programs.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about youth development, behavior support, and creating equitable spaces where all students can thrive.
Support Inclusive Student Success
- Provide direct one-on-one and small-group support for students with diverse needs
- Step in to support program coverage when Inclusion Aides are absent to maintain consistency and student success
Coach and Develop Staff
- Train and support Inclusion Aides and Program Leaders in:
- Positive behavior support strategies
- Activity modifications
- De-escalation techniques
- Inclusive engagement practices
- Provide on-site coaching, modeling, and feedback
Track Progress and Analyze Data
- Observe student behavior, participation, and progress
- Collect and analyze behavioral data to identify trends and recommend individualized support strategies
- Share findings with Site Coordinators, families, and school partners
Collaborate with Key Stakeholders
- Partner with Site Coordinators, school staff, families, and Arc leadership to align after-school supports with student goals and school-day accommodations
Maintain Documentation
- Keep accurate records of:
- Student observations
- Intervention strategies
- Progress notes
- Communication logs
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Special Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred
- At least 1 year of experience working with K–12 youth in school, after-school, or community settings
- Experience with:
- Positive behavior interventions
- Behavioral data collection
- Inclusive programming
Skills & Strengths
- Strong knowledge of positive behavior support and de-escalation strategies
- Excellent observation, documentation, and progress monitoring skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
- Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practices
- CPI Certified Trainer (Crisis Prevention Institute)
- 40 hour certification / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training preferred
- 48 college semester units (transcripts required) OR passing score on district Academic Proficiency / CAPE exam
- Negative TB test
- Clear Live Scan fingerprint clearance (DOJ/FBI)
- Current CPR / First Aid certification (Adult, Child, Infant)
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- Bilingual in English / Spanish
- Ability to stand and walk for 6 hours daily
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and reach frequently
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
- Strong visual awareness and verbal communication in active school environments
