Enrichment Instructor – Physical Education (Part-Time)
Location: Greater San Diego Area
Pay: $35.00/hour

Are you passionate about fitness, sports, and helping young people develop healthy habits? Arc is looking for energetic and engaging Physical Education Enrichment Instructors to lead fun, structured after-school classes that promote teamwork, physical literacy, and confidence for students in elementary through high school.
As an Enrichment Instructor, you'll create an inclusive environment where students can build movement skills, learn new sports, stay active, and develop lifelong healthy habits while having fun.
What You'll Do
- Lead engaging after-school physical education classes for elementary through high school students.
- Teach fundamental movement skills, fitness, sports, and cooperative games.
- Create and implement structured lesson plans aligned with provided curriculum.
- Foster teamwork, sportsmanship, leadership, and positive social interaction.
- Adapt activities to meet varying ages, abilities, and skill levels.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Encourage participation while positively managing student behavior.
- Prepare students for skill demonstrations, games, and end-of-session activities.
- Track attendance and communicate with Arc staff regarding program needs.
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching physical education, coaching sports, leading fitness programs, or facilitating recreational activities.
- Experience working with elementary through high school-aged students.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage students with diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Passion for youth development, health, fitness, and education.
- Availability to work during after-school hours.
- Reliable transportation to assigned school sites throughout San Diego County.
Qualifications
- Official or unofficial college transcripts showing 48 or more completed college units (60 units required to teach high school students), or
- Passing score on an approved academic proficiency exam.
- Experience working with youth in schools, recreation programs, camps, sports, or community organizations preferred.
- CPR Certification (Adult, Child & Infant) preferred.
