Job Summary
The Culinary Arts Instructor is responsible for planning and delivering instruction in culinary techniques, food preparation, nutrition, sanitation, and kitchen management. The instructor provides students with hands-on learning experiences while maintaining a safe and professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver culinary arts curriculum.
- Demonstrate food preparation, cooking, baking, and presentation techniques.
- Teach food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
- Supervise students during laboratory and kitchen activities.
- Assess student performance through practical and written evaluations.
- Maintain kitchen equipment, inventory, and supplies.
- Foster teamwork, creativity, and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Professional culinary certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry experience.
- Teaching experience preferred.
