Responsibilities
- Lead and work as part of a crew to complete assigned tree care tasks safely and efficiently
- Perform a variety of arboriculture activities, including tree diagnosis, climbing, pruning, removal, stump grinding, and preservation techniques
- Install tree support systems such as cabling, bracing, tying, bolting, staking, and guying
- Supervise and train crew members in proper tree trimming and safety procedures
- Collect and manage debris from tree trimming and removal operations, ensuring a clean and safe work zone
- Trim, limb, prune, and shape trees and shrubs according to industry best practices
- Participate in the maintenance of gear, tools, and equipment both in the field and at the shop
- Consistently adhere to ANSI and ArborScape safety guidelines
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 year of experience in arboriculture or related field
- Experience operating and maintaining specialized equipment such as chippers, stump grinders, and chainsaws
- Proficiency in knot tying and safe rigging techniques
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to ongoing skill development and professional growth
- Valid drivers license; CDL is a plus
- Desire to maintain certifications and accreditations in the field
Compensation
$24 - $29 per hour, depending on experience. Overtime opportunities available.
