About the Role
The Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating the facility’s staff development program while supporting clinical education and compliance needs across departments. This role plays a key part in ensuring staff competency, regulatory compliance, and high‑quality resident care.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and document compliance training per state and federal requirements
- Develop and conduct orientation programs for new, rehired, and contract employees
- Provide hands‑on clinical education for licensed and unlicensed staff
- Manage the Employee Health Program
- Coordinate CPR training and clinical skills instruction
- Partner with the Director of Nursing to ensure clinical competency and annual skills assessments
- Oversee OSHA and Risk Management training and documentation
- Plan and deliver required in‑service and certification programs
- Support departmental budgeting and cost management
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
- Active RN license
- Valid CPR teaching certificate (if applicable)
- Current with state continuing education requirements

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and training techniques
- Familiarity with state and federal healthcare regulations
- Basic computer skills
