Community Resource Coordinator

Arbors Management Inc. currently has an opening for a Community Resource Coordinator located in Pittsburgh, PA (Perrysville neighborhood). Working 24 hours per week, this position is designed to help residents in a senior living high-rise building with community referrals, financial and personal matter management, scheduling educational classes and preparing property newsletters. This position will also assist the property manager as needed with administrative tasks.
Successful outcomes for the Community Resource Coordinator will include:
- Creation and distribution of a monthly newsletter for building residents
- Completion of HUD Rent Rebates with tenants on or before the due dates
- Organizing monthly activities for the residents (Bingo night, Games, Presenters, Informational sessions, etc)
- Connect residents to services and information for transportation, financial help, medical needs, spiritual needs and daily living needs
- Assist with any reasonable accommodation needs to help residents age in place
- Maintain an organized office area that is welcoming for residents
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with an elderly population assisting with the coordination of public resources for financial, medical, food, insurance, educational and other services
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer proficiency (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail)
- Compassion coupled with the ability to maintain professional relationships with residents, families and community providers
- Must have drivers license and personal transportation
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug and background screenings
