What You’ll Do
- Lead maintenance operations across residential properties.
- Supervise and support a team of 1-3 maintenance professionals, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
- Perform hands-on maintenance work (~50% of your time), with a focus on unit turns.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans.
- Collaborate with property managers to prioritize repairs and capital improvements.
- Communicate directly with residents in a respectful, timely, and solution-oriented manner.
- Occasionally assist nearby properties as part of a collaborative team.
- 7 years of hands-on maintenance experience, ideally in multifamily or older buildings.
- Strong skills in general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, flooring, etc.).
- Experience leading or mentoring maintenance teams or vendors.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Comfort with basic tech tools (e.g., digital work order systems, Excel).
- A problem-solving mindset and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
