Title: Azure Architect
Location: Cincinnati, OH(day 1 onsite)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 12 months with possible extension
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership: Define scope, roadmaps, budgets, and governance; run Agile/Scaled Agile ceremonies.
Architecture & Delivery Oversight: Lead discovery and solution design across Azure landing zones, network/security, data, app modernization, and automation; review HLD/LLD and operational runbooks.
Azure Platform Execution: Guide teams implementing AKS, App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, Event Hub/Service Bus, Storage/ADLS Gen2, Data Factory / Databricks / Synapse, Key Vault, Monitor/ enforce Azure Well Architected principles.
Cost & Reliability : Track usage/cost, rightsizing, reservations; error budgets, capacity planning; incident/problem/change management.
Copilot Studio Leadership: Translate business use cases into copilots; design topics/flows, prompts, actions/plugins; ground responses securely (Graph, SharePoint, Data verse); integrate with Teams and LOB systems via connectors; establish telemetry, evaluation, and lifecycle management; drive Responsible AI guardrails and rollout/adoption.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Align product owners, architects, security, data, and operations; report to executive sponsors with clear metrics and insights.
Minimum Qualifications:
8–12 years in technical project management owning cloud programs (preferably Azure) and cross functional engineering teams.
Hands on experience with Azure services (≥3 of: AKS, Functions, App Service, ADF/Databricks/Synapse, Postgress SQL, Event Hub/Service Bus, Key Vault, Monitor/Log Analytics).
Practical exposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio or Power Platform (Power Apps/Automate), designing and shipping copilots/bots integrated with enterprise systems.
Agile/Scaled Agile leadership, excellent stakeholder management and communication.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications:
AZ 305 (Solutions Architect Expert) or equivalent.
Experience with Azure OpenAI Service, prompt design/evaluation, and Responsible AI policies.
Experience modernizing monoliths to microservices, event driven architectures, and data platforms on Azure.
