Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Conduct window cleaning and floor care using appropriate cleaning equipment and techniques to ensure clarity and shine
- Handle chemical cleaning agents safely, adhering to proper protocols for sanitation and infection control
- Operate pressure washing equipment for exterior surfaces as needed to maintain curb appeal and cleanliness
- Maintain laundry services for facility linens or uniforms when required
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly during all cleaning tasks to ensure safety and compliance with health standards
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large cleaning supplies to support overall janitorial operations
Requirements
- Floor technician experience is preferred
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures including window cleaning, floor care, sanitation, and infection control practices
- Ability to operate various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, and floor buffers
- Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking
- Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and the use of PPE for safety purposes
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
- Excellent customer service skills to respond professionally to facility staff or visitor inquiries when necessary
