What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optometrist Assistant position at Arbor Place Eye Care Woodstock?
Arbor Place Eye Care in Woodstock is looking for an experienced optometric technician with a background in optometry or medical assistant. Our office is a busy, fast-paced practice located inside LensCrafters at The Outlet Shoppes of Atlanta, providing comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, and medical eye care for all ages.
PART-TIME ONLY AVAILABLE.
Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Handle all administrative duties efficiently
- Perform routine clinical tasks to support the doctor
- Assist with pretesting patients
- Communicate with insurance companies for proper billing procedures
- Escort patients to exam rooms
- Perform visual acuity testing, non-contact tonometry, and fundus photography
- Assess patients’ chief complaints
- Sell contact lenses and provide product guidance
- Check patients in and out
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in optometry/ophthalmology preferred
- Must pass a background check
- Familiarity with medical billing procedures
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Bilingual preferred
Schedule & Hours:
Our Woodstock office is open six days a week and closed on Sundays. Candidates must have a flexible schedule and be available to work Saturdays.
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 20 per week
