Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Paralegal located in Plainfield, IL with option for occasional remote days. The Litigation Paralegal will be responsible for preparing legal documents, reviewing documents, conducting legal research, reviewing and responding to discovery, drafting pleadings, and filing motions, primarily in the areas of family law, guardianship, and probate. Day-to-day tasks will include coordinating with attorneys, managing case files, managing clients, and ensuring all documentation is accurate and complies with legal standards.
Qualifications
- Skills in Legal Document Preparation and Document Review
- Experience in Legal Research
- Proficiency in drafting Pleadings and Motions
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a family-like team environment
- Prior experience as a paralegal is preferred
- An Associate degree or Paralegal Certification from an accredited program is required
