What are the responsibilities and job description for the Permit Coordinator position at Arbor Homes?
Arbor Homes is seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our Louisville team. This role will complete all activities related to permitting and utilities. Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, compiling all necessary documentation needed to complete permit applications, managing permit checks, submitting permits to municipalities, following up on delays and tracking down additionally requested documents, and picking up issued permits to initiate the construction process.

Key Responsibilities And Duties
- Review prints and plot plan as part of the building permit application process
- Review and obtain building permits
- Complete forms needed to obtain permits
- Meet weekly goals to obtain permits
- Document management and organization of shared inboxes
- Manage payment and driving to needed municipalities to pick up permits
- Apply for water and electrical meters for all houses
- Create pre-construction / Start package
- Assist Production and Purchasing Managers in administrative tasks
- Constant communication with the team and municipalities is essential for this role
- Strong clerical, computer, and administrative skills
- Desire for consistent production workflow and achieving weekly production
- Open communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with MS Outlook, Microsoft Excel and other related applications preferred
- Construction knowledge in residential home building preferred, but not required
