Looking for a job that requires a dedicated individual that can operate well as a team and also independently. Must be able to laugh at hilarious as well as lame jokes. All jokes aside must be able to have fun while at work even under stressful situations. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Willing to mentor and train new graduates.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
- Perform routine laboratory tests, including blood work and urinalysis.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor animal patients' vital signs and overall health during procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
- Provide client education on pet care, nutrition, and preventive health measures.
- Handle animal grooming tasks as needed.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including kennels and treatment areas.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Support in the training of new staff members or interns.
- Maintain and uphold high ethics and keep standard operating protocols current.
Requirements
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology from an accredited program is required.
