Responsibilities
- Identify various species of trees and shrubs, as well as common pests and diseases, to determine appropriate treatment plans
- Apply eco-friendly treatments, including fertilization, soil amendments, and pest or disease control measures
- Perform deep root injections, soil compaction alleviation, and watering as needed to support plant health
- Operate and maintain specialized plant health care equipment, such as air spades and root pruners
- Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Follow all safety protocols and utilize required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Maintain accurate records of pesticide applications, work logs, and customer interactions
- Interact professionally with clients, providing education and recommendations on tree and plant health
- Identify opportunities for additional services and assist in scheduling treatments as needed
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in plant health care, tree care, landscaping, or a related field preferred
- ISA certification preferred but not required
- PAL certification required
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Knowledge of tree and shrub identification, or willingness to learn
- Detail-oriented with the ability to follow precise directions and safety procedures
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid drivers license required; CDL preferred
