Arbor Equity is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Grapple Truck Operator to join our growing team. This role primarily involves driving but also requires operating the truck-mounted crane and grapple attachment to safely load and unload logs, branches, and debris from job sites. The ideal candidate takes pride in their equipment, works well in a team environment, and thrives in outdoor, hands-on work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate a grapple truck to haul wood, debris, and other materials to and from job sites
  • Safely load and unload logs, tree trunks, and branches using the grapple attachment
  • Assist with job site cleanup to ensure safety and efficiency
  • Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, including checking fluids, bolts, filters, and greasing bearings
  • Identify and report mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the foreman or operations manager
  • Work in all weather conditions and be available for additional shifts as needed (storm response, weekends, emergency work)
  • Track inventory and submit required reports to management

Requirements

  • Valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License) required
  • Experience operating grapple trucks, cranes, or similar heavy equipment
  • Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials when necessary
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
