Arbor Equity is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Grapple Truck Operator to join our growing team. This role primarily involves driving but also requires operating the truck-mounted crane and grapple attachment to safely load and unload logs, branches, and debris from job sites. The ideal candidate takes pride in their equipment, works well in a team environment, and thrives in outdoor, hands-on work.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive and operate a grapple truck to haul wood, debris, and other materials to and from job sites
- Safely load and unload logs, tree trunks, and branches using the grapple attachment
- Assist with job site cleanup to ensure safety and efficiency
- Perform routine vehicle and equipment maintenance, including checking fluids, bolts, filters, and greasing bearings
- Identify and report mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the foreman or operations manager
- Work in all weather conditions and be available for additional shifts as needed (storm response, weekends, emergency work)
- Track inventory and submit required reports to management
Requirements
- Valid CDL (Commercial Drivers License) required
- Experience operating grapple trucks, cranes, or similar heavy equipment
- Ability to lift and maneuver heavy materials when necessary
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
