Job Title: Consumer Loan Administration

Classification: Full Time, non-exempt

Reports to— Pre-Closing Loan Administration Manager

Work LocationIn Office. With ability to occasionally request to work elsewhere as needed.

Office Location – 16949 Lakeside Hills Plaza, Omaha, NE 68130

Business needs require candidate to live within reasonable commute to the Omaha Metro Area.

Summary Description:

Consumer Loan Administrator is responsible for all aspects of pre-closing including: all necessary due diligence, doc prep. Requirements for consumer loan administrator include good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to clients and employees as well as solve problems in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Loan document preparation for all different types of loans, ensuring all the procedures & policies are carried out effectively and within the given deadline
  • To work in coordination with various officers, attorneys and other third-party personnel and ensure that the loan transactions are carried out within the assigned parameters of the bank’s loan policy
  • To obtain, order, and analyze all the pertinent documentation and to carry out the verification of moderate to complex loan transactions
  • Loan admin will review due diligence documents including but not limited to purchase contracts, entity documents, lease agreements, UCC searches and title and insurance policies.
  • To provide valuable assistance in reviewing, preparing, and maintaining various credit files and to follow up on outstanding items
  • To process advances and disbursements as well as to be involved in preparation of the payoff letters
  • To review the closing documentation to ensure that the term and structure of the loans are in conformance with the policies of the bank.
  • Responsible for safekeeping of original notes and collateral
  • Works closely with post-closing loan admin to ensure onboarding of all loans are successfully completed.
  • Maintains and manages the loan exception list to perfect collateral, update taxes and insurance, and ensure all file items are current
  • Process adverse action and withdrawn files, including sending out declination letters and filling out adverse action forms
  • Add HMDA info as needed
  • Maintain tickler system, including creation of and regular monitoring of ticklers
  • Process loan payments and payoffs
  • Responsible for helping to release collateral and closing of loans upon payoff
  • Communicate with Loan officers about discrepancies, customer issues, outstanding ticklers, etc.
  • Loan admin may be involved in periodic audits and works with external as well as internal parties to ensure the receipt of the vital loan documents and its final disposition.
  • Provides prompt and effective service to internal and external customers.
  • Demonstrate commitment, dependability, and respect for other team members.
  • Regular and predictable attendance, punctuality, and adherence to agreed-upon schedule of availability.
  • Perform physical requirements as described in the Physical Requirements section
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned or needed

REQUIREMENTS

  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures of lending including, but not limited to, loan accounting, loan file maintenance, compliance, business entity structure, law and underwriting
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience preparing loan documents for consumer credits or TRID
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize activities
  • Ability to communicate with external customers and internal employees in a professional manner

Supervisory responsibilities: no direct reports.

Physical demands:

  • The physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
  • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally lifting or carrying objects less than 15 lbs.
  • Communicating with others to exchange information.
  • Communicating by means of spoken word to impart oral information to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers, clients, & the public accurately, loudly and/or quickly.
  • Constant repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Clear vision at approximately 20” or less, including use of computers, mid-range and 20’ or more.
  • Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech in person, over the telephone, computer and/or remote speech.
  • Reaching or extending hand(s), arm(s) in any direction, straightening arm(s) and elbow(s) and engaging the shoulders(s).
  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Work environment:

  • No adverse environmental conditions expected.

Position type and expected hours of work: full time, typical work hours 8-5 M-F

Travel: 5% local/regional travel
