Job Summary:

The Medical Technician will be responsible for administering medication, performing various medical procedures, and working closely with nursing staff to ensure patient comfort and safety. Duties:
- Administer medication and injections as prescribed by physicians
- Perform catheter care and maintain patient hygiene
- Assist with tube feeding and other feeding procedures
- Conduct vital signs and monitor patient physiological responses
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Perform routine medical tests and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
- Collaborate with nursing staff to develop individualized care plans
- Maintain a clean and organized medical office
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families
- Support memory care and nursing home patients with a focus on dignity and respect
- Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional care to patients of all backgrounds
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of a medical technician program or equivalent training
- Current certification as a Medical Technician or CMA (Certified Medical Assistant)
- Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Familiarity with medical procedures and equipment
- Strong knowledge of physiology and medical terminology
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and move equipment as needed
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Certification in catheter care or a related field is preferred
- Experience working in memory care or nursing home settings is preferred
- Certification as a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) is preferred
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are an asset

Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
