What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at ARBOC Specialty Vehicles, LLC?
- Ensure that all customer's requested options are developed meeting industry expectations
- Able to take projects from inception to completion utilizing sound reasoning and SolidWorks engineering software
- Create Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Participate in design reviews as required
- Review the processing of order bids, Orders, Engineering Change Notices and Change orders as needed as required
- Interact with ARBOC Specialty Vehicles employees on a regular basis
- Interact with outside suppliers to obtain part &equipment related data
- Complete product floorplan development using Solid Works and Conduct weight analysis as needed
- Be tenacious in pursuit of excellence in our products
- High school diploma or GED
- Engineering Technology (A.A.S. Degree)
- 2 years of automotive/bus industry or college equivalency
- Experience in working with multiple discipline projects andclients simultaneously
- Capable and experienced in managing and performing projectsin a fast-paced environment
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling and climbing all day. Must be able to lift and/or move items over 25 pounds
