Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Controls / BMS Commissioning Engineer to lead the installation, calibration, testing, and startup of building management systems (BMS) and control solutions across data centers. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that complex control systems operate efficiently, reliably, and safely. Your expertise will help optimize building performance, enhance energy efficiency, and deliver seamless field service support. Responsibilities
- Lead the commissioning process for Building Management Systems (BMS), ensuring all controls are installed correctly and function as designed.
- Review detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and control system layouts
- Calibrate sensors, sensors’ calibration equipment, and control devices to ensure accurate readings and optimal system performance.
- Configure and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and vision inspection systems to meet project specifications.
- Conduct field service activities including point-to-point testing, troubleshooting and resolving technical problems efficiently.
- Develop GUI for BMS/SCADA systems
- Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate control solutions with HVAC and power distribution systems.
- Maintain detailed documentation of commissioning activities, including schematics, calibration records, test reports, and maintenance logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by supporting clients during system handover and offering ongoing technical support for BMS operations.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of data centers and HVAC
- Strong electrical experience with a focus on low voltage systems, sensors, calibration techniques, and schematics interpretation.
- Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
- Experience working with distributed control systems (DCS), sensors integration, calibration procedures, and field service operations
- Ability to read technical drawings including schematics related to electrical wiring or mechanical layouts; experience with AutoCAD is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to high voltage work environments; capable of working confidently in field service roles requiring technical expertise in industrial electrician tasks.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to clients or team members.
