Araya HVAC Services is seeking an Experienced HVAC/R Technician to help launch and grow our Connecticut operations. Currently operating in Massachusetts, we are expanding into Connecticut and looking for a dependable, experienced technician to become our first hire in the state.
In this role, you’ll lead complex projects, handle installations and repairs, and help lay the foundation for our Connecticut team. You’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality work, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with state codes and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the installation, diagnostics, and repair of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Supervise future apprentices and entry-level technicians, providing training and mentorship.
- Ensure all work is performed to Connecticut licensing and code requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers about service issues and solutions.
- Oversee job site operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Accurately record job details and service work in company software.
- Follow EPA and OSHA guidelines for refrigerant handling and job site safety.
- Provide input on system upgrades, efficiency improvements, and project planning.
Minimum Requirements
- Connecticut S, D, or B HVAC/R license strongly preferred.
- EPA 608 Universal Certification.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Strong knowledge of system diagnostics, controls, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Leadership ability with proven experience managing technicians or job sites.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- NATE Certification or other advanced industry credentials.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Familiarity with job management software (Service Fusion, Housecall Pro, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior technicians.
