**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist with daily living activities with other healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional care to our residents. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in promoting patient health and well-being in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide nursing care to residents under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring proper dosages and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
- Assist in patient assessments and contribute to care plans based on individual resident needs.
- Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families regarding health management and treatments.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming when needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote coordinated resident care and improve outcomes.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Participate in staff meetings, required training sessions, and continuing education to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
**Qualifications:**
- Valid LPN license in Florida.
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting of at least two years in Skilled Nursing or Assisted Living Communities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Compassionate and resident-centered approach to care.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and basic computer skills.
**Physical Requirements:**
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting and transferring residents as needed.
