Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Auction Listing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for photographing auction items, researching products and collectibles, and creating accurate, compelling online listings that help maximize item value and bidder engagement.
The ideal candidate has a sharp eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. A natural sense of photography composition and the ability to identify important item details are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Photograph auction items in a clean, professional, and visually appealing manner
- Stage and position items to highlight key features and condition
- Research antiques, collectibles, household goods, jewelry, furniture, décor, and other estate items
- Write clear, accurate, and engaging item descriptions
- Identify maker’s marks, brands, signatures, materials, and notable characteristics
- Accurately document item condition, dimensions, and relevant details
- Maintain consistency and accuracy across all auction listings
- Meet daily productivity goals while maintaining quality standards
- Work collaboratively with the auction and operations team to prepare auctions on schedule
- Handle items carefully and professionally
Qualifications
- Superior attention to detail
- Strong photography composition skills
- Ability to work efficiently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written communication skills
- Strong research and internet search abilities
- Basic knowledge of antiques, collectibles, vintage items, or online marketplaces preferred
- Comfortable using computers, cameras, and inventory/listing software
- Ability to lift and move items as needed
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong work ethic
Preferred Experience
- Experience with online auctions, e-commerce, eBay, estate sales, or product listing
- Photography or merchandising experience
- Knowledge of antiques, collectibles, coins, jewelry, or fine art is a plus
