Award winning Centennial Airport is seeking a Senior Fleet Maintenance Technician / Heavy Equipment Mechanic to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled labor duties associated with the mechanical operation and maintenance of Airport Authority vehicles, and equipment.
Description & Qualifications:
This is a full-time hourly position for a dependable person who can perform a variety of preventative and major mechanical work on all Airport Authority vehicles, heavy duty and special equipment.
Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing airport vehicles as well as preventative maintenance, also working on small two stroke landscaping equipment such as leaf blowers, edgers, and weed eaters. Ability to operate a variety of light and heavy equipment like mowers, snowplows, tractors, backhoes, front end loaders, four-wheel drive, etc. Modifying vehicles with lighting, sirens, and radio equipment.
Maintain inventory and property maintenance records for vehicles and equipment. Order supplies and process purchase orders and invoices.
A successful candidate must be able to perform strenuous activity for prolonged periods of time in various weather conditions from extreme hot to extreme cold; have the flexibility to be on-call during inclement weather and to work alternate shifts including weekends for snow removal and other special projects. Ability to operate airport vehicles and clearly communicate and understand radio transmissions in English.

Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent and valid Colorado Driver’s license. Previous experience with vehicle maintenance, heavy equipment operation, snow removal equipment, diagnosing and repairing vehicles, engines, and arc and gas welding.
Three years of vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance experience, one year leading or supervising work teams, or an equivalent combination of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills, and abilities. FAA 10-year criminal background check may be required.
Salary range of $71,000 - $92,000, plus excellent benefits after 60 days. Work schedule normally within regular business hours with altered hours during inclement weather. Typical work schedule is 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
