POSITION SUMMARY:
Food and Beverage employees at Arapahoe Basin are committed to creating "a day worth repeating" for our guests by ensuring legendary service and food quality throughout our Food and Beverage outlets.
As a Barista at A-Basin, you are "the face" of our Coffee Corner and will help to create a welcoming, clean, and friendly environment. You will assist guests with Food and Beverage purchases making specialty coffee drinks and preparing light food options with a helpful and positive attitude through use of a POS system.
We look to be thoughtful, creative, and energetic. We are known not only for our A-mazing skiing/riding, but also for our A-mazing Food and Beverage options.
WAGE:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Arapahoe Basin's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, and responsibilities. The range listed is just one component of Arapahoe Basin's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Take orders, prepare beverages, and handle POS transactions; ensure consistency and quality with all customer orders
- Merchandise products around the POS area
- Carry out opening and closing procedures; sign consent for over or short monies
- Follow proper food and beverage handling and sanitation procedures every day; rotate product and inventory in accordance to established guidelines
- Prepare and stock goods in accordance with inventory responsibilities; keep stocks at or above par levels
- Follow all departmental sustainability guidelines
- Perform other tasks as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous barista experience - preferred
- Ability to be self-motivated; possesses great attention to detail
- Basic retail computer skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be available on weekends and holidays
- Must provide own non-slip shoes
- TIPS certification - preferred
- This position requires successful completion of a background check
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent - preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to withstand high-altitude conditions at all times
- Ability to stand and walk throughout an 8 hour shift
- Ability to navigate stairs throughout shift.
- Ability to Use full range of body motion: bend, twist, kneel, squat, push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- You will work almost 100% of the time indoors in a high-altitude environment. Some outside work in a cold and snowy environment is possible on any given day. Most work is performed in a highly trafficked area in view of guests. A very frequent amount of high-volume guest interaction is involved in this role. Riding a chairlift is required for on-mountain work locations.
