Location: San Diego, CA (Onsite)Pay: $22-25/hour DOESchedule: Part-time, Monday–Sunday, 9:00 AM–9:00 PM Varying schedule; employee creates their own schedule and coordinates coverageEmployment Type: Part-Time, Temporary-to-Hire (Potential for Full-Time) About the Role:ArangoHRS is seeking a Retail Junior Manager to join our client’s team in San Diego, CA. This is a part-time, temp-to-hire role with the opportunity to transition into a full-time position. The schedule varies, requires availability for at least one weekend day, and includes holiday and peak-season work. The Retail Junior Manager plays a hands-on leadership role in supporting daily bakery storefront operations, baking production, staff training, inventory control, and customer experience. This individual leads by example, maintains brand and food safety standards, and works closely with HQ, production managers, and store teams to ensure operational excellence across locations and events.What You’ll Do:Oversee daily storefront operations, baking schedules, and staff coverageBake and decorate products while ensuring food safety, quality, and consistency standardsAssist with training and supporting store and event staff across all brandsMaintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance with FDA, GMP, and Health Department standardsManage inventory counts, communicate supply needs, and update systems daily (Monday.com)Support local events (minimum of 2 per month) and assist with sales and promotionsCommunicate effectively with HQ, supervisors, and store teamsAssist with equipment maintenance and basic troubleshootingReview daily sales, production, and staffing schedules; assist with monthly reportingWhat We’re Looking For:Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environmentStrong multitasking, organization, and communication skillsAbility to stand for 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbsWillingness to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonsComfortable using systems such as Toast, FiveStars, Klaviyo, Yelp (or willing to learn)Previous experience in a baking environment a plusWhy Work With ArangoHRS:You’ll start as an ArangoHRS employee with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role with our client after a successful contract period.
