What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Pricing Specialist position at Aramex?
JOB PURPOSE:
The Multi-Modal Freight Pricing Specialist will be responsible for quoting, bidding and negotiating pricing for current and potential customers, with the intention of increasing profit and keeping cost at a minimum.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Create and issue quotations to prospects & customers, ensuring compliance and pricing agreements.
· Follow up on issued quotations.
· Procurement of services such as airfreight rates, ocean rates, haulage etc.
· Handling of RFQ/Tenders from customers, prospects & Aramex network offices.
· Hold regular service review meetings with key suppliers, minimizing cost increases.
· Lead sourcing.
· Follow up of SRN’s to generate prospects.
· Develop a pipeline of new business opportunities & introduce Aramex services.
· Customer retention & development via physical visit & maintenance via telephone.
· Conduct market research for Freight industry trends, competitive pricing, and emerging opportunities.
· Work closely with commercial and operational teams to develop pricing strategies aligned with company goals.
· Communicate pricing information effectively and in a timely manner to internal and external teams and customers.
· Address customer inquiries, finding solutions that meet both customer needs and company objectives.
· Provide support to sales teams in presenting and explaining pricing structures to customers.
· Stay informed about industry regulations and ensure pricing practices adhere to legal standards.
· Regularly evaluate pricing processes, implementing changes for efficiency and competitiveness.
· Use market intelligence to adapt pricing strategies to changing market conditions.
REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
· Proven experience of handling multiple modes of freight (Air, Ocean & Road).
· Proficiency in using various systems such as Cargowise.
· Strong account and stakeholder management.
· Ability to work on own initiative and as an effective team member.
· Good time management skills, ability to prioritise workload and flexibility to work to strict deadlines.
· Strong organisation and administration skills.
· Analytical ability with good attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
· Determined and assertive, prepared to get into the detail to understand the complex cost drivers of the business.
· Self-motivated and flexible with a positive attitude.
· Strong ethics and integrity.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the postholder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the Station Manager/Vice President/CEO from time to time. Subject to adequate experience and/or training.
2. To participate in the annual performance appraisal and objective setting scheme.
3. To work in accordance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
