The Freight Operations Executive is responsible for handling export and import air freight shipments while ensuring smooth, end-to-end movement of goods. The role supports daily operational activities, documentation, regulatory compliance, and customer service.
Job Description- Handle export and import air freight shipments, ensuring smooth end-to-end coordination and timely movement of goods.
- Arrange shipment collections, pickups, and delivery orders.
- Prepare and manage all shipment documentation, including bookings, scheduling, and cutting Air Waybills.
- Coordinate customs clearance procedures as required.
- Work closely with the sales team on business opportunities and shipment requirements.
- Provide customer service support, including responding to customer inquiries and ensuring timely updates.
- Communicate with carriers, overseas agents, and customers via phone and email.
- Ensure accurate shipment data entry into company systems and submission to government agencies as required.
- Track and monitor shipment milestones to ensure timely departure and delivery.
- Verify shipment documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and other required paperwork.
- Support the processing of hazardous materials in accordance with IATA and CFR regulations (if applicable).
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience in freight operations, preferably with a strong focus on air freight.
- Familiarity with global air freight movement, carriers, and basic export/import processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- CargoWise experience is a plus.
