Order Picker

Job Summary

The Warehouse Order Picker plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment. This position involves selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment while maintaining inventory accuracy and adhering to safety standards.

Order Picking 

• Maintain Team Pick Rate of 5000 cases per day
  • Individual goal set by how many pullers working that day.
  • Must pull items accurately
    1. Verify item number on case 
    2. Verify Bin Locations 
    3. Alternate stock when necessary
    4. Maintain a 98% fill rate per order
  • Food Items 
    1. Verify Item numbers on case
    2. Verify descriptions match item 
    3. Pull by batch and expiry date according to allocated stock on pick list
    4. Alternate stock when necessary

Inventory Maintenance

• Maintain Inventory integrity

  Record and report any inventory discrepancies

  • Returns
    • Return all over picked and/or incorrectly picked merchandise to correct location
  • Damages
    • Report any damaged inventory located in any pick locations

Equipment Maintenance

• Battery Maintenance

1. Ensure battery is watered adequately once a week
2. Ensure battery is properly charged when needed.
3. Keep Equipment Clean
4. Wipe down any dust once a week
5. Report any issues 

• Warehouse Maintenance and Housekeeping
  1. Ensure all plastic wrap is picked up off the floor and extra hanging plastic is cut and removed from pallets
  2. All empty cardboard boxes are taken to bailer
  3. All broken wood from pallets is thrown away in trash bins
  4. Restrooms and Breakroom to remain clean 
     1. All trashed is properly disposed of
     2. No food left on counter overnight 
     3. All disposable coffee cups and soda cans are thrown away
        

• Additional Tasks as needed        

Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to lift heavy items and work on feet for extended periods.
• Attention to detail to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Experience with warehouse equipment (forklifts, RF scanners, etc.).
• Basic math and reading skills for inventory tracking.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
