Maintenance Worker - Dona Ana (Facilities)

Job Description

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep, cleanliness, and day-to-day maintenance of a facility in New Mexico. In this role, you will spend time cleaning shower areas, performing general building maintenance, and helping ensure the facility remains safe, clean, and operational. This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates with basic maintenance, custodial, janitorial, facilities, or building maintenance experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and reliability, safety awareness, and a strong work ethic are important for success. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, using basic maintenance tools, and completing physical work throughout the day. A background check is required prior to hire.

Job Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain shower facilities, restrooms, and assigned building areas.
• Perform routine custodial, janitorial, and general maintenance tasks.
• Conduct basic building repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Inspect assigned areas and identify maintenance concerns requiring attention.
• Repair or assist with minor repairs to doors, windows, fixtures, hardware, and other facility components.
• Complete daily maintenance and cleaning assignments while meeting quality and safety standards.
• Use hand tools, cleaning equipment, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
• Report larger repair needs or safety concerns to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow Aramark safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements when applicable.
• Work both independently and as part of the facilities team to support daily operations.
• Provide professional and courteous service when interacting with occupants, visitors, and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Required
• 1 year of experience in maintenance, custodial, janitorial, facilities, grounds, or building maintenance work.
• General maintenance knowledge and ability to perform basic repairs.
• Ability to safely use basic hand tools, cleaning equipment, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, walk, and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work the assigned schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Strong attendance, reliability, and dependability.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work instructions.
• Must successfully pass a background check prior to employment.
  

Preferred

• Experience in commercial, industrial, institutional, hospitality, or facilities maintenance environments.
• Experience performing custodial duties, restroom cleaning, shower cleaning, and general building upkeep.
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and facility inspections.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  
  

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
