Job Description

The Facilities Supervisor oversees the daily work of maintenance and groundskeeping staff to ensure buildings, equipment, and outdoor areas are safe, clean, and well maintained. This position provides hands-on support, schedules and prioritizes work assignments, and ensures tasks are completed efficiently and to standard. The Facilities Supervisor plays an active role in maintaining the appearance and functionality of all facilities and grounds.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position is $26 - $28.50. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

Supervision & Leadership

  • Assign, schedule, and oversee daily work for maintenance technicians and groundskeepers.

  • Provide on-the-job training, support, and feedback to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.

  • Monitor work quality and productivity; ensure adherence to established procedures and safety regulations.

  • Assist with staff timekeeping, scheduling adjustments, and coordination of shift coverage as needed.

Maintenance Operations

  • Coordinate and track completion of maintenance and repair work orders.

  • Perform routine inspections of facilities and report issues requiring repair or attention.

  • Assist with preventive maintenance tasks and basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, etc.).

  • Ensure maintenance areas, shops, and storage spaces are clean, organized, and properly stocked with supplies and tools.

  • Work with the Facilities Manager to communicate equipment or supply needs.

Grounds & Exterior Maintenance

  • Supervise daily groundskeeping activities including mowing, trimming, planting, irrigation, and general landscaping.

  • Ensure outdoor areas are maintained for safety and appearance, including walkways, parking lots, and athletic fields.

  • Oversee seasonal tasks such as leaf cleanup, irrigation maintenance, and storm preparation.

  • Monitor use and upkeep of grounds equipment and vehicles, ensuring proper operation and maintenance.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety policies and ensure staff use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Report safety hazards, incidents, and maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager promptly.

  • Assist with inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.

  • Maintain accurate logs and work order records.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school training preferred.

  • 3?5 years of experience in facility or building maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, or groundskeeping work.

  • 1?2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory capacity.

  • Working knowledge of building systems, tools, and maintenance practices.

  • Ability to read and follow work orders, manuals, and safety instructions.

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Must be able to read, write, and clearly speak English

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective equipment (PPE).
