Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Maintenance Worker to support facility operations at Trinity Washington University in Washington, DC. Compensation Data
COMPENSATION: The hourly rate for this position is $19.95 to $22.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine building maintenance and repair work throughout university facilities.
- Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks and facility inspections.
- Repair and maintain doors, windows, locks, fixtures, hardware, and office equipment.
- Assist with basic carpentry, painting, construction, and general maintenance projects.
- Support minor HVAC, plumbing, and electrical troubleshooting as directed.
- Respond to maintenance service requests and address building issues promptly.
- Use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists.
- Identify maintenance concerns and report larger repair needs to management.
- Maintain safe, clean, and organized work areas.
- Interact professionally with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
- Follow all Aramark and client safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
Required
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance, building services, construction, painting, carpentry, HVAC, or a related trade.
- Ability to perform general facility repairs and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Experience safely using common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and work independently.
- Strong reliability, attendance, and time-management skills.
- Ability to lift, bend, push, pull, climb, walk, and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work either a first-shift schedule (approximately 6:00 AM-2:30 PM) or second-shift schedule (approximately 11:30 AM-8:00 PM), based on business needs and interview discussions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Experience in a university, healthcare, commercial, industrial, or institutional facility environment.
- Basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or painting experience.
- Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and work order systems.
- Trade school coursework, vocational training, or maintenance-related certifications.
