Production Scheduler – Job Description
We’re looking for a detail-driven, solutions-oriented Production Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you'll be the point person for keeping jobs on track—scheduling production, coordinating with department managers, and ensuring customer expectations are met (and exceeded) every step of the way. If you're organized, proactive, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same, this could be the role for you.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain daily production schedules across all departments
- Lead morning and afternoon production meetings to ensure alignment
- Coordinate timelines with Prepress, Bindery, and external vendors
- Update schedules in real-time based on customer feedback and production changes
- Monitor capacity, identify bottlenecks, and provide solutions to maximize efficiency
- Communicate with Sales, Account Managers, and Department Managers on any job conflicts or changes
- Analyze production data and create visual updates for team meetings
- Support long-term planning and continuous improvement initiatives
- You’re highly organized and love keeping things on track
- You can manage shifting priorities without dropping the ball
- You’re a clear communicator who’s comfortable working across teams
- You’re solution-oriented and don’t get overwhelmed by complexity
- You’re experienced in or familiar with print production workflows
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and take pride in keeping things running smoothly
- You’re proactive—if something doesn’t look right, you speak up
- High School Diploma required; associate’s degree or higher preferred
- 2 years of experience in the printing industry preferred
- Strong communication skills with both internal teams and external vendors
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with PACE and/or PrintFlow is a plus
- Knowledge of the production process, including Prepress, Press, Bindery, and Customer Service
