Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies, following established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision using various cake decorating techniques to ensure visual appeal
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation standards
- Package baked items carefully for retail display or catering orders, ensuring freshness and presentation quality
- Assist in food preparation tasks including dough mixing, pastry assembly, and ingredient measurement using basic math skills
- Support high-volume production needs during busy periods while maintaining consistency and quality in all baked goods
Experience
- Previous experience in food production, bakery operations, or pastry preparation is highly preferred
- Demonstrated skill in cake decorating, dough preparation, and baking techniques with a focus on quality control
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely within a food industry or restaurant environment
- Strong understanding of food safety management practices and adherence to hygiene standards
- Experience in catering or high-volume bakery settings is advantageous
- Basic math skills necessary for recipe scaling, ingredient measurement, and portion control
