Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays through merchandising and stocking
- Manage inventory levels by restocking shelves and organizing stock areas
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Assist with phone etiquette to respond to inquiries professionally
- Support supervising staff during busy periods or when needed
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and retail math is beneficial
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions
- Experience with product demos, upselling, merchandising, and stock management is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Basic knowledge of phone etiquette and effective communication techniques
- Prior supervising experience is desirable but not required
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours as needed
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
