Responsibilities:
- Process and submit billing claims for skilled nursing facilities accurately and efficiently.
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denials to ensure timely payments.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to gather necessary documentation for billing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid billing regulations.
- Prepare and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies and clients regarding billing inquiries.
- Assist in training new staff on billing procedures and software.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance billing efficiency.
Requirements: Applicants who do not have experience and proficiency in EPIC AR specifically are not eligible for this position.
- All applicants MUST be proficient in EPIC AR for Physical/Occupational and Speech therapy.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in skilled nursing facilities is preferred.
- Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid billing processes and regulations.
- Proficient in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- SNF billing experience along with PCC and Matrix is a plus
- Certification in medical billing and coding is a plus.
- Positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
