What are the responsibilities and job description for the Coaching and Teaching Internship position at Aquilla Independent School District?
Provide students instructional support in alignment with the needs of the district. Coaching duties may include baseball, basketball, track, football, or other assignments based on district needs and candidate qualifications. The position may also include assisting with transportation for extracurricular activities in accordance with district guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate with appropriate Physical Education certification for assigned grades
Valid Texas CDL or ability to obtain
Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification, or ability to obtain
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Teach Physical Education courses aligned with TEKS across assigned grade levels
Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote physical activity, skill development, and student participation
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records
Promote safety, sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive student relationships
Serve in assigned coaching roles and help support the district’s athletic program
Assist with supervision and transportation for athletic and extracurricular events as needed
