Role Description
This is a full or part-time, on-site Machinist position based in Tacoma, WA. The Machinist will operate and maintain machinery, manufacture components, interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and ensure all parts meet specifications. Key responsibilities include setting up and calibrating machines, using measurement tools, and troubleshooting equipment when necessary. The role also involves maintaining a clean and safe workspace while adhering to industry standards and company guidelines.
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in CNC machine operation
- Strong understanding of machining processes, equipment operation, and machine maintenance
- Experience with turning and/or 3/4/5-axis milling
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, technical diagrams, and shop drawings
- Experience with precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges, CMM is a plus.
- Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to maintain a clean, organized work environment
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in machining is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
