Merchandising Manager

Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading the entire product development and merchandising lifecycle for a core accessory category (headwear), overseeing both blank and custom manufacturing programs. The Manager will drive market strategy, ensure aesthetic quality, meet margin targets, and coordinate product direction across sales, marketing, and external production partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product development and merchandising strategy for the core accessories category, focusing on blank and custom programs.
• Partner with external and internal teams to develop materials, trims, color palettes, and finishes aligned with brand and seasonal direction.
• Manage seasonal assortments, line planning, and the product lifecycle from initial concept through final delivery.
• Coordinate directly with Sales and Marketing to align product strategy with current market demand and brand narrative.
• Oversee vendor communication, sampling, and cost analysis to ensure products meet stringent quality and margin objectives.
• Provide essential creative and technical input on all decoration methods, including embroidery, printing, and heat transfer techniques.
• Research emerging trends, competitor offerings, and consumer insights to guide innovation and new product development.
• Support cross-functional initiatives for expansion into new product categories.
  
  

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in merchandising or product development within the apparel/fashion industry.
• Strong understanding of accessories design and production, including trims, fabrication, and decoration processes.
• Hands-on experience with technical decoration techniques (e.g., printing, embroidery, heat transfer).
• Exceptional communication and project management skills; proven ability to collaborate effectively across multiple teams.
• Fluency in Korean is required.
• Strong passion for design, innovation, and elevating product aesthetics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Product Development, or a related field preferred.
