You’ll play a key role in evaluating product durability and performance, helping teams make informed decisions throughout the product development process.
What You’ll Do
- Perform hands-on materials and mechanical testing in a lab environment
- Operate and maintain testing equipment to evaluate product performance and durability
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data, including statistical analysis
- Create clear, concise test reports and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Partner with product development and engineering teams to support product validation
- Assist in improving test methods, processes, and lab efficiency
- Support multiple testing projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- 2–4 years of experience in product testing, materials testing, or lab-based engineering work
- Hands-on experience with mechanical or materials testing equipment (e.g., Instron or similar)
- Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills
- Ability to clearly communicate technical findings to non-technical audiences
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exposure to biomechanics or human performance testing
- Experience with consumer product testing (e.g., footwear, apparel, or similar)
- Familiarity with CAD or product design concepts
- Experience using statistical methods to analyze test results
- Accurate and reliable execution of product and materials testing
- Clear, actionable insights delivered to cross-functional teams
- Strong collaboration with engineering and product partners
- Continuous improvement of testing processes and efficiency
- Onsite requirement: 5 days/week in Beaverton, OR
- Travel: Minimal to none
- Hours: Standard business hours
