What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Machinist position at Aquaturbo Systems Inc.?
The General Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating the equipment in the machining cell of our operation. This equipment includes manual turning lathes, vertical milling machine, and a broaching machine. The General Machinist will need to read and interpret technical drawings and be able to set up machinery to produce precision components to the required specifications. The General Machinist should be capable of transforming raw material (stainless steel bar stock and pipe) into a precise functional part that meets the specific dimensional and tolerancing specifications on the drawings.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Technical trade school degree in machining (enough experience can replace this requirement).
· 2 years of machining experience within a manufacturing environment
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawing and blueprints
· Strong mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tooling
· Proficiency with precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers
· Attention to detail is critical
· Basic knowledge of CNC programs and machine operations is a plus.
· Willingness to learn CNC programming and operation over time.
