Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in truck driving, particularly with experience operating dump trucks and other commercial vehicles. This role involves transporting materials to and from job sites, ensuring safe and efficient delivery while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Candidate must have either a Class A or Class B commercial driving license. Pay is based off of the number of loads done per day, at a rate of 25% per load. Our current job site is Greer Limestone.
Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and materials transported.
- Follow designated routes for deliveries while being adaptable to changes as needed.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, site managers, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the truck both inside and out.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving, specifically with dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tractor-trailers.
- Familiarity with manual transmission vehicles.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures including loading and unloading practices.
- Previous delivery driver experience is advantageous.
