Aquatech needs a full-time summer intern to work in our Canonsburg, PA office. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Safety Intern will report to the Safety Manager and will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered an Exempt employee.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Actively pursuing a degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety or a related field.
- Perform inspections and create inventory on safety related equipment (such as fall protection devices).
- Update safety data sheets (SDSs) throughout Canonsburg, PA shop, lab, and offices.
- Create weekly toolbox talks for shop and lab employees.
- Perform inspections and hazard assessments to identify risk to employees.
- Propose corrective actions to reduce risk.
- Other projects or assignments as deemed necessary.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to learn and expand knowledge on unfamiliar topics.
- Ability to think critically and propose ideas to solve problems.
- Ability to create and maintain files in Microsoft Word and Excel.
