Sales Associate ( AquaShine Express Car Wash)

Job Summary

The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales and revenue growth at AquaShine Express Car Wash. This role focuses on promoting and selling monthly wash memberships, upselling additional services, communicating current promotions, and building strong customer relationships to increase membership enrollment and customer retention.

Sales Associates are expected to maintain a positive, professional attitude, demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of AquaShine’s services and membership offerings, and consistently identify opportunities to convert customers into recurring members while supporting daily car wash operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Sales & Membership Growth

• Actively promote and sell monthly wash memberships, packages, and additional services to maximize revenue and increase membership enrollment.
• Identify sales opportunities by assessing customer needs and recommending the most appropriate wash packages, memberships, and promotions.
• Communicate the value and benefits of monthly memberships to customers, emphasizing convenience, savings, and overall customer value.
• Meet established sales goals and performance expectations, including membership conversion and upselling targets.
• Promote current sales initiatives, special offers, and email promotions to increase customer engagement and sales.
• Encourage customers to sign up for email communications to support ongoing promotions, customer engagement, and retention.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all services, pricing, promotions, memberships, and packages offered by AquaShine Express Car Wash.
• Process customer transactions accurately and professionally.
• Build positive customer relationships that encourage repeat business, membership retention, and customer loyalty.

Guest Service

• Provide quality customer service to every guest while maintaining a strong focus on sales and customer satisfaction.
• Greet guests with a positive attitude and treat all customers with professionalism and respect.
• Address customer questions and concerns promptly, seeking assistance from the Manager or Assistant Manager when needed.
• Educate customers on available services and membership options to support informed purchasing decisions.
• Deliver a welcoming, customer-focused experience that supports sales performance and the overall reputation of AquaShine Express Car Wash.

Washing Vehicles

• Carry out visual inspections of vehicles to confirm their condition before proceeding with the wash.
• Apply various pre- or post-treatments as needed.
• Maintain consistent wash speed to avoid service delays.
• Use proper techniques throughout the wash and dry process.
• Direct customers through each step of the car wash process while maintaining a safe and efficient operation.

Maintaining the Car Wash Facility

• Keep all working areas clean, organized, and presentable to maintain a positive customer experience.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management promptly.
• Restock cleaning supplies and inform management when additional supplies need to be ordered.
• Check and maintain vacuums and trash cans to ensure the facility remains clean and operational.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer engagement skills.
• Bi-lingual preferred
• Strong sales aptitude, with the ability to confidently recommend products, overcome objections, and close sales.
• Customer service, retail sales, membership sales, automotive, or related experience is a plus.
• Ability to learn and effectively communicate service offerings, promotions, pricing, and membership benefits.
• Goal-oriented mindset with a willingness to meet and exceed sales targets.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift 30 pounds, and perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and reaching.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and professional demeanor.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Compensation:

Total Compensation range for this position is $15.00/hr commission, based on experience.
