Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation
• Operate kitchen equipment such as pizza ovens, mixers, knives, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently
• Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting new pizza recipes or toppings based on current trends and customer preferences
• Manage food production during high-volume periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders without compromising quality
• Handle food handling responsibilities including ingredient preparation, portioning, and assembly of pizzas
• Maintain accurate adherence to recipe specifications and portion sizes for optimal food quality

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, especially within pizza or fine dining environments
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food safety management
• Excellent knife skills and proficiency operating kitchen equipment required for efficient meal prep
• Previous dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus for understanding special dietary needs
• Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards in a fast-paced setting
• Experience in high-volume production environments with a focus on consistency and efficiency
• Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering experience beneficial for versatile kitchen operations
