Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site role for a Medical / Office Assistant located in East Longmeadow, MA. The Medical / Office Assistant will be responsible for assisting the nurses and nurse practitioners clinically as well as providing daily administrative support to the patients and practice. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy and vitamin injections, patient education and advocacy, answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, verifying payment information, maintaining organized records, patient aquisition and retention, staffing, and ensuring smooth operations within the office. This role supports the overall functions of the wellness clinic and requires strong multitasking, organizational and communication skills.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Phone Etiquette and Appointment Scheduling
- Providing an exceptional patient experience
- Knowledge or understanding of Medical Terminology, vital sign taking, phlebotomy, IM injections
- Quick learner and ability to educate on our services, memberships, payments and collections
- Strong Administrative Assistance skills, including organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and capacity to manage multiple priorities
- Familiarity with medical office software or ability to learn systems.
- Must be savvy with technology and social media platforms
- Experience working in medical or wellness settings is preferred
